What Is Cannabinoid Toxicity?
Table of Contents
Cannabinoid toxicity occurs due to overdosage, abuse or mistaken (or deliberate) ingestion of cannabis. Ingestion of marijuana edibles can lead to acute psychosis in many individuals. Furthermore, it can aggravate pre-existing psychotic diseases.
The severe toxicity occurs when the doses contain more than 7.5mg/m2 of THC. Cannabinoid toxicity can also result in delirium, panic attacks, hypotension, anxiety, and postural hypertension.
